Real name: Ashley Nicolette Frangipane. Her stage name, Halsey, is an anagram of her first name, Ashley. Halsey was born and raised in New Jersey and started gaining traction for the music she posted on social media and scored her first major contract in 2014 and dropped her debut EP Room 93. The following year she released her debut studio album, Badlands, which went double platinum by the RIAA.
Halsey has been nominated for three Grammys and is known for her distinctive singing voice. She was featured on the 2016 track “Closer” by The Chainsmokers, which crushed the charts in 10+ countries and has been certified 14 times platinum.
Fun Fact: Halsey gave birth to her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, on July 14th, 2021
