Fitz and the Tantrums formed in 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Their debut studio album Pickin’ Up the Pieces was released in August 2010 and received critical acclaim and reached the number 1 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. In early 2013, they signed with Elektra Records and released their sophomore album More Than Just a Dream later that year. Fitz and the Tantrums released their self-titled third album in 2016. That album contains the song “HandClap” which is arguably the band’s best-known song. In 2019, they released their 4th studio album called All the Feels, and on November 11, 2022, their 5th album Let Yourself Free was released.
Fitz and the Tantrums consist of lead vocalist Michael Fitzpatrick, Noelle Scaggs (co-lead vocals and percussion), James King (saxophone, flute, keyboard, percussion, and guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), and John Wicks (drums and percussion).
